The starting signal is given, a wind farm will be constructed
Constructing the wind power turbines
- Grid connection and infrastructure
- Assembly
- Commissioning
The physical construction of the wind power turbines takes place during the construction phase. For this purpose, a grid connection must be laid. At the same time the necessary infrastructure, such as road access for example, is constructed. The foundations are also laid. After this work has been completed, the core elements of the wind farm - the wind turbines – can be assembled. After completion and technical acceptance, the wind farm is commissioned. From this time, the plant will produce electricity and thus provides the operator with continuous, calculable and attractive returns.
Here too, an offshore wind farm is significantly different from a project on land. Due to the location, often far from the coast, the demands on material are particularly high. The foundations must therefore be particularly robust and the wind turbines themselves must be capable of withstanding enormous loads. PNE WIND AG is already gaining practical experience in this respect by operating the Cuxhaven offshore reference field, the Altenbruch II wind farm. Here, there are high wind speeds, comparable with those prevailing at sea, which allow us to gather important knowledge for the operation of offshore wind farms.
